Från mitten av oktober ska anställda hos Deloitte vara vaccinerade för att kunna komma in på arbetsplatsen, rapporterar Bloomberg. Samma krav införs på KPMG, PwC och EY i Kanada enligt The Globe and Mail. KPMG i USA kommer att införa krav på antingen vaccin eller negativt PCR-test branschsajten Going Concern.
Deloittes anställda ska uppge sin vaccinationsstatus på en säker webbplats, skriver Consultancy. Samtidigt sätter bolagsledningen press på medarbetarna att ta sprutan.
“Möjligheten att kunna delta fullt ut i företagets affärer kommer bli utmanande för de som inte är vaccinerade”, skriver chefen för Deloitte i USA Joe Ucuzoglu i ett utskick till sina anställda.

Based on our most recent survey, we believe approximately 86% of our employees and 94% of our partners are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Science tells us that vaccines are the best protection against COVID-19 and the best way to eliminate the virus in our communities.

Vaccinationsgraden hos den amerikanska befolkningen var inledningsvis hög men har snabbt stannat av under sommaren. President Joe Biden hade satt som mål att 70 procent av befolkningen skulle vaccinera sig fram till nationaldagen 4 juli, men vaccinationsgraden i slutet av augusti låg på omkring 50 procent.
Deloitte har över 110 000 anställda i USA, på mer än 80 kontor. KPMG Kanada har cirka 8000 medarbetare på 40 kontor.
